If you are wondering if this is the right photographer to hire the answer is 1000% yes!! The experience of working with Athena for our wedding was better than I ever could have imagined! She took some of the most lovely photos, which I expected after looking at her work. But part of what made her so special was how comfortable and pleasant it was to have her there during the day. It truly added to the day to work with someone who was warm, caring, talented, natural, and fun! We spent so much time for portraits and photos it really made a difference working with her! We were reflecting on the day and part of what made it so smooth and pleasant was the professionalism and care of the vendors, especially Athena! I can't believe I didn't write Athena a glowing review years ago- I thought I had! Athena is the most talented and sweetest photographer. She has photographed my husband's and my engagement, wedding, Christmas card photos, and most recently, maternity photos. Her work is simply incredible. My husband and I now live in Los Angeles and align our travel to the area to meet with Athena for photos- we simply can't imagine trusting anyone else with capturing our most precious moments! Athena was hands-down our MVV (Most Valuable Vendor). She always followed through, she was proactive with her questionnaires and suggestions, and she was extremely patient and flexible.
As a first-time bride, I felt so overwhelmed with planning the event for our guests and our family. To top it off, I know nothing of art or beauty (e.g., hair, makeup), and I am not photogenic, so I felt a strong need for direction and guidance from my photographer to get lasting photos of me looking at my best. And I felt an even stronger need to have someone to help me calm down to savor the moment and appear less tense. Athena did all of that and more.
